Parcelrama

Sunday, February 29th, 2004

Good news, I did receive a parcel! I picked it up yesterday and thanks to my wife and anya (my mother in law), I got a lovely selection of delights.
Köszönöm szépen

Very tired as I have been working nights, and can never sleep properly during the day. Still, it gives me the change to catch up with ‘The Soprano’s’.

Hello all, I must first say that the weather is getting colder. It has been really good (for the Falklands) recently, apparently last week was one of the hottest recorded down here. OK, they probably only just started recording - but it keeps me happy :hehe:
Well tomorrow brings another lot of desperate souls to these windy isles, and hopefully somewhere deep in the cargo hold will be my holy grail. Mail. It was a bit depressing last week as no mail arrived for little old me. Grin and bear it Paul!
Good news, I have been asked to design the Griffin (where I work, well attend) website. This little project should keep me busy for the next few weeks or so. I am not sure on all the details yet, but it will be on the local intranet down here. So if you want to see it you will have to join up and volunteer to come down here!
Well thats me for now, catch you all later.

Battlefield Tour

Sunday, February 22nd, 2004

Hello world! On Friday I went on a Battlefield tour at Mount Langdon. This is where the first battle took place over Port Stanley. We had a guide to show us around and recount the battle. It was an experience. You got a feel of how hard it must of been for our boys, especially when you looked at the mountain from the bottom and then from the top.
The roads to Stanley are still as bad as ever with tarmac and gravel parts, this mixed with the wind was another experience.
Must finish now as my allocated is nearly over
Bye for now!
