Todays planned boat trip was cancelled, properly due to bad weather. I tried to get some more sleep as I was between nights but to no avail To much noise in the corridor, look at me always complaining!
Our section cat, Jet, went AWOL for 20 hours yesterday, some new people who work in the same building let her out not knowing that she has to stay inside for the immediate future. The cat is waiting (of course the cat doesn’t know she is waiting!) for an operation so there are no little miss and master Jet’s running about the place. Also she doesn’t know the lay of the land yet (mainly wet and boggy). The cat did a runner and nearly got run over by a land rover. It was 3 in the morning when her wails woke up a Turners contractor. He knew the cat was ours as we have been searching for her, and made radio appeals. His plan was to bring her back in the morning, but Jet would not let him sleep so he brought her over immediately. Jet was so hungAry and pleased to see us that I don’t think she will be running off in the near future
