Magazine star

Tuesday, May 24th, 2005

In the latest addition of Broadband and Internet Advisor magazine (issue 80), you may be interested to know that I am in it, abut as ‘Skinny’. This is under the ‘What is happening in the forum’. The answer to the question is ‘plus.net’.

You may not be aware but I have moved this site from one host to another. The process was not as bad as I thought it would be, the reason being I managed to install MyPhpAdmin on both hosts and transfer the database that way. I now should be able to create a better blog on my new host.

Bledlow

Tuesday, May 17th, 2005

Bledlow ChurchÉvi and I went for another walk from the book ‘Walking in Buckinghamsire’. We started our walk on the outskirts of Princes Risborough, with our walk taking us to the village of Bledlow. Here we found a hidden garden called ‘The Lyde Garden’ which proved to be a find, and one we would have walked past if the book did not mention it was there.

Next we made our way to the ‘Lions of Bledlow’ pub where we treated ourselves to a pub lunch before completed our walk. Some photos from the walk are on my flickr photo album.

Take me for a walk

Sunday, May 15th, 2005

Off for another walk today, hopefully the weather holds out. We plan to have a pub lunch en-route in Bledlow. Today the book cannot fail as I have the whole route marked out in pencil on the ordinance survey map, the problem with the book is that it occassionally gets its rights and lefts mixed up!

Upgrade to WP 1.5.1

Friday, May 13th, 2005

I have just upgraded my blog from WP1.5 to WP1.5.1. Most of it has gone pretty smoothly, but alas I am having problems with my RSS feed. Looked at the WP support form which states posting a new post may cure the problem, hence this post. Fingers-crossed.

Enjoying nature

Évi on a recent walkÉvi and I have been enjoying the decent weather we are having recently. Last week we went on a lovely walk around the Great Kimble/Askett area, following a route in “Walking in Buckinghamshire”. The next day we went up past Stokenchurch and found some English Nature land with walking routes overlooking the M40. The view was a lot better than you may think when overlooking a motorway. It was always a walk we wanted to do as you can see the path very clearly whilst driving up and down the M40.
