Peak district

Winnats PassÉvi, Évi’s Mum and I spent the bank holiday weekend away in the Peak District. We stayed in a Bed and Breakfast at Middleton by Youlgreave, which was an ideal base to explore. We travelled up on the Friday, visiting Chatsworth house before finding our accommodation.

Saturday we first journeyed to Matlock Bath for the Abraham heights experience, then moved on to Crich tramways museum. We finally moved down to Dovedale where we had a picturesque walk along the River Dove.

On Sunday we travelled to Bakewell, Curbar edge, Ashford in the water, and Lathkill dale.

Monday we travelled further afield to Castleton where we climbed up to the English Hertiage owned Peveril Castle, walked up and down Winnats Pass. We also walked up Cavedale that turned into a journey and a half!

On Tuesday we travelled back, stopping at the National Trust property Kedleston Hall before carrying on with our journey. Unfortunately we had a flat tyre that we needed to change soon after leaving Derby, this took a lot of time.

Over the whole weekend we lucky with the weather and saw many sights.
