Long time, no write!

Wednesday, April 14th, 2004

Hello again, sorry its taken so long to write but lately the Internet has either been down or so slow that I haven’t had time to blog. How I miss my broadband connection!
Whats happened lately, well not a lot as usual. The lower NAAFI bar has been refurbished and opened on Monday, it is meant to have the look and feel of a Wetherspoons pub. It looks quite similiar, but there is no ‘Curry Club’ on Thursday night!
Also on Monday I played in the usual Monday night 5-a-side competition. We lost 1-0 in the final.
This Saturday I am going to Mount Alice for a dining-in night. The following Saturday I will be go-karting which should be fun.
The UK flight (timmy) has just arrived 30 minutes ago, again I hope there will be mail for me. Fingers-crossed.
My next highlight is getting my hair cut tomorrow. Its all go down here!
Bye for now

This, that, and the other…

Tonight I played in a 5-a-side football competition, we got to the final but lost 3-2, we were winning 2-0 at one stage…
Yesterday I got absolutely soaked as it was raining cats and dogs. The weather lately is typical Falklands weather, ie the four seasons in one day. What to wear, what to wear :P
Anyone who knows me knows I am allergic to cats. The strange thing is down here I am not, also other people who are allergic are not affected done here. Now the cats are your run of the mill cats, I am allergic to cat fur and I assure you they are not bold! My theory is, and it isn’t a new theory, that modern industralization causes most allergies and as the Falkland Islands is not an industralized country (or modern  ) I am not not affected. If you disagree please write to me on a postcard to the usual address, or you could use the comments option (or ‘No Comments’ ) below to post something.
Anyway time is running out, speak to you soon.

Run forest run!

I have started the fitness trail at last. I have recently played football twice, and have been for a 3.3 mile run the past few days. My legs are starting to hurt badly, but no pain no gain!
The bad news is there will be no Internet access for me on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. How will I cope with no contact with the outside world! :(
Still, work is going well and there seems to be a good crowd here. All this makes the experience a little more bearable.
Must dash now as I am talking to Éva on Messenger.

I have lost that green feeling!

Mount Alice was good, found out there was an old friend up there, so it was good to catch up. Had too many beers, so head was a bit sore the next day. This time I saw the medic before I flew to get some travel sickness tablets, this sorted me out as the flight back was enjoyable.
When I got back I found I had a couple of blueys and a parcel. Life is good! :satisfied:
Yesterday even Swindon Town won! do not know how Forest Green got on though.
