hello world! I have not written lately as my dear wife has been down here visiting me. We had a great time, and Éva has now an idea of what life is like down here now. Unfortunately the trip to Sea Lion Island never worked out as they had to retask the helicopter, but we still went to Stanley. Of course, in Stanley we visited Davis Street. Did you know that a Captain John Davis discovered the Falkland Islands and they bore the Davis name for a number of years?

Strange but true!
The last Timmy flight to the UK was minus 5 passengers who forgot they were flying home. One was even blissfully unaware at work. You pick up your return flight details only a few weeks before they are due to leave, must of made interesting news for their loved ones.
Off to Stanley for a night on Saturday, 6 of us are going so it should be fun. The only down side is I will be missing a 6-a-side football competition. But those are the breaks…

Tonight I played in a 5-a-side football competition, we got to the final but lost 3-2, we were winning 2-0 at one stage…
Yesterday I got absolutely soaked as it was raining cats and dogs. The weather lately is typical Falklands weather, ie the four seasons in one day. What to wear, what to wear
Anyone who knows me knows I am allergic to cats. The strange thing is down here I am not, also other people who are allergic are not affected done here. Now the cats are your run of the mill cats, I am allergic to cat fur and I assure you they are not bold! My theory is, and it isn’t a new theory, that modern industralization causes most allergies and as the Falkland Islands is not an industralized country (or modern ) I am not not affected.
